MW Guitar Academy hires guitar players from every genre of music so we can match you with the perfect mentor, whether you want to rock out with an electric guitar or chill out while strumming an acoustic, we've got a mentor for you.
Whatever your learning style, we have activities to engage and challenge you. Whether you have learning differences including ADD & ADHD, or are participating in your schools' gifted programs, our materials are designed to capitalize on each learning style's unique strengths and systematically encourage and mentor other areas. Everyone learns how to play guitar right away. Alternative learners have games and activities to keep lessons engaging and lively, are given great-sounding music patterns to focus on (and diverge from), and have plenty of ways to encourage motor planning, sequencing and relating. If learning music makes you smarter, then creating music makes you brilliant. We teach you how to write your own guitar music and help you find your brilliance.

Music is a skill that lasts a lifetime, and studies show that music lessons positively impact many other aspects of learning. We help you make time for music by coming to you. All MW guitar lessons are taught in the comfort and convenience of your own Main Line home. This cuts down on drive time for you, and allows you to learn guitar in a comfortable environment.

The MW Guitar Academy seeks out the best applicants possible, by directing our job postings to creative, enthusiastic guitar players. On average, only ten percent of guitar applicants even get an interview. The interview itself is structured to look for creativity, passion and teaching ability – in addition to musical skill. Once hired, our teachers go through comprehensive guitar training and attend monthly guitar workshops to continue learning and building a guitar community.
We provide all of our guitar teachers with a comprehensive guitar training program to prepare them for their first guitar lessons. In guitar training sessions, we use experiential exercises and a 150 page exclusive MW method manual. Teachers learn the principles of the MW Method, as well as techniques such as stimulus variation and motivational strategies. Teachers also learn how to apply the original MW guitar material – from games to books – to their guitar lessons.
Your lessons incorporate trail-blazing original material. And it isn't available ANYWHERE else.
MW Guitar Academy uses games and methods designed by a musician and former teacher, and the methodology and materials aren't available from any other music school. You will be one of the select students to learn how to play guitar with a ground-breaking method.
